The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Both pictures have been relined, and have a fine pattern of craquelure. The surfaces are rather dry and the varnish has degraded somewhat. There are scuffs and a few tiny losses along the edges, associated with frame wear. The examination under UV light shows some minor scattered retouching. The pictures are well preserved, and definition and clarity could be improved through cleaning and restoration.
