The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- trimmed on or just inside the platemark but retaining a fillet of blank paper outside the subject or borderline on all sides.
- a tiny nick and associated paper loss at the left sheet edge.
- a tiny adhesive stain on the back of the Virgin's cloak.
- the sheet slightly toned.
- a few very minor, pale stains and foxmarks.
- tipped to a support card at the right sheet corners.
Otherwise as described and generally in good condition.
