engraving, 1511, on laid paper, watermark Anchor in a Circle with Star (Meder 171; Briquet 587), a very good Meder b impression, very clear and warm, the scratch on the Child's forehead erased

With P. & D. Colnaghi, London (with their stocknumber C. 25606 in pencil verso).
Sir Clifford (1907-1982) and Lady Lucille (1898-1977) Curzon, London; acquired from the above on 3 January 1946 (according to invoice); then by descent to the present owner.
