The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- a horizontal hard crease, partially split and backed at left and right (25 and 60 mm., respectively).
- a pinhole at centre.
- a few thin spots in places.
- a short nick at the lower left sheet edge.
- some pale foxmarks, mostly in the margins and verso.
- some stray blue ink on the Virgin's arm.
- remains of paper paste and hinges at the corners verso.
