The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- trimmed to the platermark below, to or just within the borderline above, narrow margins elsewhere.
- the address of the publisher rubbed out.
- a central horizontal crease, partially split and repaired in places (mostly from the right edge, approx. 70 mm. and a few much shorter splits in the centre, as on the dreamer's shoulder), another short skilfully repaired split to the right of the box.
- an irrgular crease below the box, probably split and very skilfully repaired (approx. 70 mm.)
- a couple of thin spots (one associated with the pulbisher's address rubbed out).
- a small circular rubbed area in the right margin.
- a small hole at the lower right corner.
- some very pale foxmarks in places, mostly visible verso and in backlight.
- remains of old tape and adhesive hinges at the left and right sheet edges verso, hinged at the left sheet edge verso.
Otherwise as described and generally in good condition.
