The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- with narrow to thread margins,ee at the upper sheet edge.
- a tiny skinned area on the surface of the upper sheet edge measuring 5 x 2 mm.
- a plugged hole on the tree at the upper right.
- very pale scattered foxing mainly showing verso, only slightly through recto on the white areas.
- a few soft handling creases at the sheet edges.
- two paper hinges at the upper sheet edges verso.
