The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- skilfully remargined on all sides.
- a small paper loss at the upper sheet edge, skilfully backed and repaired.
- some repaired tears along the margin.
- a few, tiny plugged holes and a few thin spots visible in backlight.
- some creases at the right sheet edge.
- the sheet slightly toned.
