In addition to the catalogue description: - some tiny stains in places at centre. - a pair of tiny rustmarks at upper right above the tree branch. - traces of red pigment in the sky at upper left. - a few diagonal and horizontal flattened folds, mainly visible in raking light and verso. - some soft creasing throughout and some rubbing in places, mainly visible in raking light. - a few short, skilfully repaired tears at the upper sheet edge (15 mm. and shorter). - a few other shorter, skilfully repaired tears and nicks at the sheet edges in places. - two tiny pinholes in the subject. - several inscriptions in pencil on the backing sheet (loose); inscribed Farley in crayon on the backboard. Otherwise as described and in good condition, mounted and unframed.
