The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the impression just beginning to show some wear in the aquatint background at upper left.
- with wide margins, a deckle edge below.
- the upper sheet edge very slightly irregular.
- the sheet very slightly cockled within the platemark, inherent in the printing.
- a few foxmarks in the margins.

Aquellos Polbos, Plate 23 (H. 58)
- a very good, tonal and atmospheric impression, without any wear.
- with wide margins above and below, a little narrower at the sides.
- the paper partially broken along the lower platemark
- a curved, repaired tear from the lower sheet edge at left to the lower platemark.
- the sheet toned, some creases and staining in the margins.
