This is an impression of the first state (of two), although Massari and Boerner describe it erroneously as the second state (of three). Bartsch records only two states: the present first state; and the second state with the publisher Lafreri's address added below Bonasone's name.

In addition to the catalogue description: - trimmed to or on the platemark, with thread margins and inky plate edges in places. - some very minor and unobtrusive staining at the upper left sheet edge. - a very short, skilfully repaired tear (circa 10 mm.) at the upper sheet edge at left. - a small plugged hole on the right arm of the putto at upper left. - with the usual vertical central fold, flattened and mostly visible verso. Otherwise as described and in very good condition.
