The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- with thread margins below, trimmed inside the platemark but retaining a blank strip outside the borderline above and at the sides.
- two parallel, horizontal tears at the upper sheet corner, circa 40 mm. long, repaired, with associated pale staining, and an associated tiny paper loss at the sheet edge.
- a few pinpoint foxmarks.
- some very minor, pale staining.
- several pencil inscriptions and a couple of paper hinges verso.
