The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- trimmed on or just inside the platemark but retaining a fillet of blank paper outside the borderline.
- a very skilfully and unbtrusively repaired tear (circa 80 mm.) at the upper right.
- two shorter skilfully repaired tears (circa 20-25 mm. each) at the upper sheet edge.
- a couple of other short tears (circa 5-7 mm) at the upper sheet edge at right.
- a vertical repaired tear (20 mm. long) at the lower sheet in the text border, just touching the subject.
- the lower left corner with a flattened crease and strengthened verso.
- the upper corners very skilfully made up.
- a couple of small brown stains at lower right.
- flattened horizontal and vertical folds mainly visible verso.
