The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the countermark probably associated with a Grapes watermark.
- trimmed to or just outside the borderline.
- two large moisture stains at the right and lower right sheet edges and two smaller ones at left.
- a vertical flattened fold.
- a repaired short tear at the upper left sheet edge (15 mm.), another at the upper right corner (10 mm.).
- a few tiny rubbed areas at the upper left corner and right sheet edge.
- some very pale time staining.
- a tiny spot of surface dirt at lower left.
- remains of old paper hinges along the right sheet edge verso.
- remains of paper paste and paper support at the corners verso.
