The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- a repaired, angled paper split to the left of the Saint's head (approx. 30 mm.).
- a shorter, irregular repaired paper split on the devil's knee, and another on the rock below the book.
- several short tears, nicks and minor losses, repaired and made up, along the sheet edges and corners tips.
- some pale yellow staining in places, tiny brown pinpoint stains at lower right.
- other smaller defects.
- several pencil inscriptions verso.
