The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- a few thin spots visible in a transmitting light.
- a few very thin and skilfull touches of grey wash on Mary's head and elsewhere.
- the sheet slightly toned and stained, pale pinpoint foxmarks mainly visible verso.
- hinged at the upper sheet edges verso.
