The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the description in the catalogue:
- with thread margins, trimmed on or just inside the platemark but outside the borderline in places.
- two spots of foulbiting rubbed out: the dark spot of foulbiting in the lower left sheet corner rubbed out, another smaller spot on the Saint's left shin also rubbed out.
- the sheet backed with laid paper, but the original sheet apparently in good condition.
Otherwise as described and in good condition.
