The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- some tiny touches of brown wash in and around the sitter's eyes, left side of the mouth, around the left chin and hair.
- a very pale brown stain in the blank background at upper centre.
- a few pinpoint rustspots.
- remains of old hinges at the left corners and right sheet edge verso.
Otherwise as described and in good condition, mounted and framed.
