The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- small margins above and below, narrow margins or trimmed to the platemark at left and right.
- lacking the left corners, skilfully made-up, the tip of the upper right corner made-up.
- a short tear at the left sheet edge (approx. 27 mm.), a shorter one at right and a few nicks.
- various tiny repairs along the sheet edges, a few thin spots visible in transmitting light.
- two soft and flattened vertical creases across the height of the sheet, the central one partially broken at the edges and repaired.
- a small abrasion to the left of the Coat of Arms.
- a stain at the lower right sheet edge and some discolouration, a few pinpoint foxmarks.
- hinged at the upper sheet edge verso.
