The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- each combined view: Plates 570 x 960 mm., Sheets 785 x 1110 mm. (and similar)
- with wide margins (wider above and below), presumably the full sheets, with deckle edges.
- each sheet with the usual horizontal central fold.
- the central fold partially split on the left sheet of Plate 2 (circa 60 mm.) and on the left sheet of Plate 5 (circa 35 mm.).
- the right sheet of Plate 6 with a large paper loss at the lower right sheet corner in the margin (circa 50 x 120 mm.), and another, smaller loss with an associated tear (circa 55 mm.) nearby.
- some other tears and paper losses at the sheet edges and in the margins in places to the other sheets.
- a binding hole in the upper margin of each sheet.
- the sheets with some pale, irregular time- and moisture staining, mostly in the margins and at the sheet edges.
- some pale scattered foxing and surface dirt in places.
Otherwise as described and generally in good condition.
