The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- with narrow margins in places, otherwise trimmed to borderline
- a few skilfully repaired tears, backed with a thin layer of Japan paper at the left sheet edge verso (measuring 28 mm. and smaller)
- the lower left corner slightly disturbed
- a few unobtrusive soft creases at the lower left and right sheet edges
- a rustspot at the upper sheet edge, with very pale time staining and occasional pinpoint foxmarks, mainly showing verso
