A Group of five Engravings

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue description:

Jupiter & Eros:
- a thread fillet outside of the borderline on all sides, two flattened folds visible verso, s few small touched in areas in the black at left, two small repairs at the upper sheet edge at centre
- generally in good condition

Mercury:
- a fillet of blank paper above and below, trimmed to the subject at left and right, a flattened fold visible verso, a few thin areas, a repaired tear at the lower sheet edge

Apollo:
- with narrow margins, in good condition

Faith:
- the shadowy areas strengthened with brown wash
- a couple of thin spots, otherwise in good condition

Censer:
- with some small losses and repairs
- a horizontal fold at centre, possibly partially broken through (laid down to a card support)
