The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue description:
- with narrow margins on all sides
- pale foxing
- an unobtrusive diagonal scratch in the subject at the lower right corner extending into the margin
- window mounted at the sheet edges on the reverse (in circa 1982 by Eric Harding, formerly Chief Conservation Officer of the British Museum)
Otherwise as described in the catalogue and in good condition, framed.
