The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- with small 12-15 mm. margins
- a slipped impression resulting in a double printing
- some scattered foxing, mainly in the left margin
- hinged with two strips of fabric tape at the upper edges on the reverse and some further remains of old hinges

- with small 8-12 mm. margins
- tipped to the mount at the upper corners on the reverse
- unobtrusive scattered pinpoint foxing

- trimmed inside the platemark and removing the text panel below but with a fillet of blank paper outside of the subject on all sides
- the sheet toned
