The surface is stable and the colors present well. The object was inspected outside the frame but within the metal frame case. Strong definition and translucence in the enamel layers. Light surface dirt present. Thin lines of craquelure in the sky and horizontal lines in the lower figures. Under UV light, evidence of retouching to address frame abrasion at the extreme edges. A single small dot of retouching in the brown armor just above the waist. Possible retouching in the blues of the sky.

Rubbing and fraying on the velvet of the frame.
