The canvas has been relined. There is a discoloured yellow varnish with thick layers of surface dirt. There is a small scratch between the hands and a restored damage to the saint’s left shoulder and arm in the lower right quadrant. There is retouching to the edges and to the neck of the saint. Ultraviolet examination has been impaired by a thick layer of obscuring varnish.
