This single piece panel appears to be in good overall condition. The paint surface is stable but there is some evidence of minor abrasion to the darker tones in the costume. Examination under ultra violet light is partly obscured by the old varnish layers but does reveal some very minor retouching to the flesh tones, chiefly in the sitter’s hands, with some to her costume. There are some losses to the gilding of the wooden frame.
