The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The panel is made up of two boards horizontally joined. The panel is bevelled to the horizontal edges and the upper edge. There is evidence of a previous support to the panel join, which has been removed. The panel remains stable. Examination in natural light shows some restoration along the horizontal join. There has been some retouching to the pale background. Examination under UV light confirms the aforementioned restoration and retouching. There has been retouching to the tablecloth and in the metallic elements. The whites have been strengthened. The paint remains stable and the detailing fully appreciable.
