The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The gilding appears to be original and well-preserved with lovely mellow color. Minor rubbing and wear to the highpoints, including the lion's nose, outstretched tongue and parts of the mane. Minor traces of verdigris visible in the ears. A small plug to the proper right side of the crown. The top of the lion's head open as constructed. The later associated base with scattered small nibbles to the edges and corners with some later infill as well.
