The gilding appears to be original and well-preserved with lovely mellow color. Minor rubbing and wear to the highpoints, including the lion's nose, outstretched tongue and parts of the mane. Minor traces of verdigris visible in the ears. A small plug to the proper right side of the crown. The top of the lion's head open as constructed.
