The FIFA World Cup 2026 Topps Final Halftime Show made history on 19 July 2026 as the first ever halftime show at a World Cup final. Produced by Global Citizen and curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay, the show was headlined by Madonna, BTS, Justin Bieber, Shakira and Burna Boy, and included performances by Electric Mayhem and the Muppets as well as the New York Philharmonic, Venezuela's Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, and Iranian violinist Bijan Mortazavi under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel. The show concluded with a performance of "We Dance", an original song written and performed by Coldplay and the PS22 Chorus for the occasion.

The present gloves were designed by Madonna's longtime stylist Rita Melssen in collaboration with embellishment artist Le Rhinestud for use during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Topps Final Halftime Show. The custom stoning in Swarovski crystals took inspiration from the patterning on traditional goalkeeper gloves, while the rest of the outfit was inspired by warm-up kits and athleisure wear in shades of pink, purple, and mauve. Madonna performed her hits "Music" and “Danceteria” while riding in an open car driven by soccer superstars Ronaldinho and Ronaldo to open the performance.
