Original Air: Michael Jordan Game-Worn and Player Exclusive Sneaker Rarities
Online 30 July - 13 August 2020

The 1995-96 NBA season was an unprecedented one for Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. The 72-win campaign and the triumphant six-game defeat of the Seattle Supersonics in the NBA Finals solidified Chicago’s fourth NBA title, just one illustration of the significance of this year for Jordan.

In his first full season back from his time in Minor League Baseball, Jordan won yet another NBA scoring title with an average of 30.4 points per game, to go with 6.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.2 steals. He also won the fourth of his five NBA MVP awards in 1995-96, and was chosen as the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player, after scoring 27.3 points per game against Seattle.

Like his achievements, the sneaker worn during Jordan’s first full comeback season was significant. The Air Jordan 11 is a favorite of seasoned Air Jordan collectors, beloved for its clean, sleek, and flashy style. Jordan wore this white-and-black “Concord” colorway for the entire 1995-96 season before switching to a black-and-red-colorway for the Playoffs.

This US13 MJ PE features the adjusted toe box and mid-cut collar, which was only available to Jordan per his specifications. The shoe exhibits appropriate game wear for Jordan and features his typed “0112 SAMPLE FTPS” player exclusive coding.

This pair is triple-signed by Jordan, with all three signatures authenticated by Upper Deck. Signatures are found in black ink on the inner side of each heel, and in silver ink on the toe of the left shoe of the patent leather panel. A LOA from the Chicago Bulls is included.
