The canvas has been laid down on a single board soft-wood panel. The panel has one horizontal split to the upper edge of the reverse and a short horizontal split to the lower right corner of the reverse. The canvas and panel remain stable. The painting presents very well in natural light. Examination under UV light reveals some retaouching to the sky, specifically a small area to the upper centre and to the left and right edges. The paint surface remains stable. The colours retain their vibrancy and the modeling appreciable.
