Lot Essay

When talking about the inspiration for his design, Ryan said, "Paddington came to England from Peru by boat. He was wearing a tag that read, 'Please look after this bear. Thank you'. This phrase can be used in relation to children too. We should all make sure children are handled with care. Much like this beautiful bear, they are all extremely fragile."
In addition to children and exceptional bears, rare works of art should also be treated carefully. Fragile is only a few moments away from the free-to-enter galleries of the Tate Modern where you can see, but not touch, a priceless collection of modern art.
