Lot Essay

Comedian and star of television and radio, Jonathan Ross, was inspired by his love of all things science fiction when he created this futuristic robotic Paddington, "My Paddington is from the future, where bears are brightly coloured robots, have magical features and even more extraordinary adventures."
Being the adventurous type, Paddington definitely approves of his innovative new look. He and Jonathan want this design to bring a little bit of futuristic imagination into the lives of all the kids who come into contact with it. The Merchant Square area of Paddington is a very modern setting for this bear as well; even the bridges across the canal use cutting edge technology.
Jonathan is also a long-time supporter of ChildLine, and hopes his bear will raise much needed funds for the charity when it goes up for auction at the end of the trail.
