Lot Essay

Michael Bond was inspired to write about Paddington after buying a small bear from Selfridges on Christmas Eve 1956.
Supermodel, Kate Moss, has dressed her Paddington entirely in luxurious gold to show how just how precious he is. Paddington is well-known for his trademark dapper style in a duffle coat and hat, and has earned himself a reputation as quite the fashion icon.
It is entirely appropriate; therefore, that Paddington can should be seen in the window of the best department store in the world, Selfridges. Step inside the store and you will find a world of endless fashion combinations to try on and buy.
