Lot Essay

For an adventurous bear such as Paddington, it's easy to get lost in a big city like London. There’s so much to see and do, and not enough time to tell everyone where he’s going. When he arrived into London for the first time, Paddington was found by the Brown family at the station that gave him his name.
It is particularly fitting, therefore, that artist, Hannah Warren, has designed Paddingtonscape, a graphic illustration of the local neighbourhood where Paddington was introduced to life in London. "This is a wonderful canvas to illustrate the cityscape of one of London’s friendliest places," said Hannah, "Paddington on Paddington."
