Lot Essay

Paddington always seems to get his paws into sticky situations. Having shared the screen with him in the Paddington movie, actress Sally Hawkins knows this better than anyone. Sally plays the role of Mrs Brown in the film; she is part of the family who welcome Paddington into their home when he first arrives in London.
Paddington's sticky marmalade paw prints – which are smudged on most things around the Brown household – inspired Sally when she created this bear.

FIND ME!

This bear can be found in Chelsea's traffic-free Duke of York Square, a popular shopping hub of 33 shops, and seven restaurants and cafes. From 8 November, the square is magnificently lit by twinkling Christmas lights.
