The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of the frame. The sheet appears to be hinged in places to the underlying support. The sheet undulates slightly. The edges of the sheet are deckled. The burnt areas appear to be stable. There are handling marks along the edges and an area of paper skinning to the centre of the right vertical edge, all due to the artist's working method. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work is in generally very good condition.
