The sheet is hinged at the corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. Faint handling marks and wear are to the edges and corners. Pinholes are to the corners, presumably a vestige of the artist's working process. A few creases are to the lower left and upper right edges, and small, soft creases are visible occasionally to the vertical edges. A few small accretions are to the corners. Pinpoint losses are visible occasionally, in keeping with the nature of the medium. Pinpoint spots of foxing are visible intermittently. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
