The sheet is hinged at the corners and center side edges to the backing board and undulates slightly. The upper and lower edges are deckled. Faint wear is to the edges and corners. Pinholes are to the corners and center horizontal edges, presumably a vestige of the artist's working process. Small, soft creases are occasionally to the edges and corners, and a minor handling mark is to the lower right corner. A minute paper accretion is above the center right edge, and pinpoint accretions are visible occasionally, predominately to the edges. Faint linear abrasions are to the center left edge in a black passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
