The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged along the upper edge to the backing board. Artist's pinholes are intermittently along the edges of the sheet. Discoloration is to the edges of the sheet, visible underneath the mat. Small areas of skinning are occasionally near the edges of the image, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. A few media accretions are occasionally visible underneath the mat. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
