The sheet is hinged at the corners to the backing board. Four pinholes are visible to the upper corners, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. Soft creasing is visible near the upper left corner. Faint linear accretions are visible to the upper edge and lower right corner underneath the frame. A few small spots of discoloration are visible occasionally to the edges of the sheet. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
