The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. There are two faint linear impressions to the centre of the lower edge, presumably occurring in the artist’s studio. There is a soft crease to the lower right vertical edge edge. There are some minute faint scattered stains, predominantly to the purple passage. When examined under ultra-violet light, there are a few small scattered spots to the orange passage which fluoresce in a manner consistent with retouching, the largest measuring approximately 1cm. in diameter. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work is in generally good condition. Frame: 28 1/8 x 35in. (71.5 x 89cm.)
