The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board. Pinholes are visible near the upper edge, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. The edges of the sheet have shifted slightly in tone. A few scattered soft creases are visible intermittently, more notably near the edges and more visible under raking light. A few faint hairline drying cracks are visible to the dark green paint passages in the upper right quadrant. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
