A CORAL-ENAMELED BOWL
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The bowl is well potted with rounded sides rising from a small ring foot. The exterior is covered with a deep reddish-orange enamel in contrast to the white interior, and the base is decorated with a bi ding ruyi emblem ('A wish for success in the imperial civil service examinations').
7 ¾ in. (19.7 cm.) diam.
