The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this pieces acquired after its initial manufacture.
The first cup:
-there are a few minor chips to the mouth rim
-there are areas of wear to the glaze on the exterior and interior of the cup
-there are a few pinprick holes on the interior of the cup
The second cup:
-there is a restuck chip on the mouth rim
-there are scratches and abrasions, particularly on the interior of the cup
-the foot rim has been slightly polished
The third cup:
-there are a few chips to the mouth rim
-there is a hairline crack that extends horizontally across half of the body
-there is a small chip to the exterior of the foot rim
The fourth cup:
-there is a flaw in the glaze on the exterior of the cup near the mouth rim
-there is a small chip to the exterior of the foot rim
