We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- some expected wear to the gilding
- the rectangular fitting with a white jade plaque is missing two tiny screws on the back
- the glass 'cabochons' on the two-part fitting have some wear
- the belt hook is missing a tiny screw on the back, and there is some wear to the glass
- the two-part gilt-bronze clasp has a museum accession number 58-45-48 (a and b) on the back of the two section
