We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Huanghuali:
- the brushpot appears to be covered with a clear coating
- small section of fill to the mouth rim and a filled crack to the base
- a scratch to the side
- expected light surface wear
- expected minute nicks to the edges
Rootwood:
- missing circular plug
- expected small nicks, a few consolidated cracks, and minor losses to the edges and extremities
