A LONGQUAN CELADON TRIPOD CENSER
MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY
The deep sides are raised on three cabriole legs and decorated with a wide band of diaper pattern, above horizontal lines. The exterior is covered with a glaze of olive-green color that continues over the rim down to center of the unglazed interior, and over the lower edge onto the base around another unglazed circle.
7 ½ in. (19 cm.) diam.
