A POLYCHROME-LACQUER AND GILT-DECORATED CHEST
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The chest is painted on each side with scenes of birds amidst rocks and flowers within shaped borders and reserved on a diaper ground painted with floral medallions in black, pink, green, white, blue and gilt. The sides have bail handles and the front with a rectangular two-part lockplate.
12 ¾ in. (32.5 cm.) high, 17 ¾ in. (45.2 cm.) wide, 11 ½ in. (29.3 cm.) deep
